These 49" long aluminum Vortex crossbars create a sturdy platform for all kinds of gear. Whether you’re loading kayaks, canoes, or a cargo box, the full-length design gives you space to spread things out and strap them down securely. The aluminum build keeps the setup strong without adding unnecessary weight, perfect for hauling your gear trip after trip.
Nobody wants that constant whistling on a long drive. The aero-style shape of these crossbars, combined with rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels, helps reduce drag and wind noise while you’re on the road. The streamlined profile makes highway travel quieter and smoother, even with cargo up top.
This rack gives you freedom to carry different gear across seasons and hobbies. It’s compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. You can switch from paddleboards in summer to skis in winter without needing a whole new system.
Built-in plastic locks on the crossbars deter theft of channel-mount accessories, while lockable cover plates secure the legs to your roof. For extra protection, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 - sold separately). It’s an easy way to lock down your setup when parking at trailheads or campgrounds.
This complete roof rack system includes two Vortex crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit designed for naked roofs. The black aluminum construction resists corrosion and keeps its finish looking sharp. Each component comes backed by Rhino-Rack’s limited warranties—crossbars carry a limited lifetime warranty, while legs and fit kit each have a 5-year limited warranty.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
